Hi... I'm Jean of Bluejean Primitives and Single Mother of two wonderful young Ladies.
My Oldest Daughter is a Senior at Ohio State University, majoring in Marketing... and the Youngest is a Freshman here in Kentucky at Campbellsville University, majoring in Art and English. How did they grow up so fast?
I'm also owned by a rescue Chug (Chihuahua/Pug mix), whom I love dearly. (smile)
I live in Beautiful Central Kentucky where it's gorgeous all year round'. The scenery here is definitely conducive to laziness if you're not careful.
I believe I began creating way back when I was a little girl.... I made a macrame plant hanger and my life has never been the same. I owe much to my Wonderful Mother who took the time to teach me what quality meant. "If you're going to make it, Jean, make it right". So when it came to quilting, she steadily and patiently showed me the meaning of getting the seams right and the points to meet... small stitches and don't skimp on quality. 'It will last and you'll be more proud of your work' she always would say.
I have a few favorite arts I love to create, but I do have a tendency to dabble and try all kinds of new things. I sure love Primitives.... but there's those timeless classics I still steer towards. People ask me if I have a favorite Art that I love to do. Well yes, but not just one. I love playing with wool fabrics, from hooked rugs to penny rugs. I also love quilting and creating soft dolls. Making lye soaps is so much fun also... I just love to create I think. So who knows what I'll come up with next!
