I have taken a wooden frame and applied papers to it to create the fun look of this folky piece. I ordered a small mirror to fit, and have applied a variety of solvents and mediums to transform it into an "antique" mirror.

This is so nice in person. You will love it! Would look great in a little girl's room, a powder room, or in any room that you'd like to add a touch of folk art whimsy.

Primitive Folk Art Pumpkin Doll

Created from muslin, without a pattern, Prutty is one of a kind. I have overstuffed her using special tools, and have taken my time to properly and neatly hand stitch her head and limbs onto her body. Her head has been given coats of gesso and paints, as well as antiquing mediums, to give it the feel of anything but fabric. And to top it off, I have added a real, pumpkin stem for whimsy.

For a dress, I have chosen to use quality quilting fabrics. The outer shell is done in a solid black, and I have lined it with this beautiful, reproduction fabric that I have hand stained.

The dress is adorned with ribbon ruffles, and a vintage button.

She is 18" tall, and you will fall in love with her.
