The Humble Arts is one body, made from many parts. Each member is a unique character, adding her own personality and her own unique talent, but all working together for one cause, to showcase and support the hand-made artistry.

One of these talented characters is Joyce Purnell of Everydaysies. Currently living in South Carolina, Joyce’s heart remains in Danville, Virginia where her beloved family calls home. She hopes to join her mother, her three daughters, and two granddaughters in Virginia someday soon, longing to return to small-town living where everyone knows you and family is close.
Other than her family, Joyce’s love & her passion is stitching. This needlework artist has tried many different crafts over the years, and in fact had a successful career as a designer of children’s boutique clothing. She has always returned though to stitching. Whether cross stitching, embroidery, mola, appliqué or needlepoint, Joyce adds her unique style by "’coloring" in the shapes with stitches. She has dubbed this uniquely primitive style as "prim broidery" and I would suggest to you that indeed, Joyce is the master of this craft.
Having gotten to know Joyce a little over the last few months, I found her answers interesting when I asked, "What words best describe you?" She thought and pondered, and suggested these adjectives: Creative; A Sarcastic Humor; Very Organized; Completely Loyal; and a Great Problem-Solver. Joyce is always quick to offer an "atta girl" to other’s achievements. She is so very quick witted and has had myself and others in a full belly laugh on many occasions. Her creations are absolutely gorgeous. So, I must agree, if you mixed in a bowl each of these descriptions, added a dose of OCD (obsessive/compulsive disorder) "in a humorous kinda way", you would indeed have Ms. Joyce Purnell!
Everydaysies’ treasures can be found on the Humble Arts, on Joyce’s new website, Everydaysies, on her Etsy store and on Ebay.

Although Americana is her favorite theme, check out Joyce’s wares often to see what her next great project might be!!
Joyce’s motto, the thing she hopes to share is to help others! "Open a door for someone, give a ride to someone in need; send a card to someone unexpectedly. Just do the little things that may make a tiny difference in someone else’s life"
Be devoted to one another in brotherly love.
Honor one another above yourselves.
Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor,
serving the Lord.
Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
Share with God's people who are in need.
Practice hospitality.

{My family likes skin on and a little lumpy}
Add cream cheese in small pieces and the butter. Beat well until cheese and butter have melted and are completely mixed.
Mix in sour cream, then milk and salt. Beat well until light and fluffy.
