Hello… my name is Susan Walker. I love art…art of all kinds, but especially folk art. There is something so special about a piece that I know was made by hand. The thought of someone spending their precious time and energy focused only on this piece makes it come alive in my mind.
I am blessed to be married to one of the most supportive husbands a person could ask for…he’s always been my Knight in Shining Armor, and now he’s my biggest fan, too! Married for 15 years, we have a large blended family that includes seven children two dogs and kitty. Four of our children are in college working towards their different degrees and one is in graduate school (one more year to go – YIPPEE!). The sheer size of our family keeps us all hopping from one thing to the next!
When I can devote an entire day to my art, I’m in heaven! I love to work in all kinds of art mediums…needlepunch, painting, soft sculpture, felted wool, clay and will be sharing all these types of pieces with you here. Fabric is definitely at the top of my list, though. Designing and creating unique primitive folk art dolls and gatherings is one of my favorite things to do. All of my pieces are created with lots and lots of love and attention to detail.
