This sweet gal measures in at 20", 25" to the top of her sweet party hat adorned with tinsel balls! She's made of natural muslin that has been painted. Then I used a clay over cloth technique and sculpted her 3-d head and beak and chestplate. She is mounted on a vintage wooden candlestick base that is painted a wonderfully antiqued robin's egg blue to match her ruffles and tinsel trim in her dress! Speaking of her dress…I just love this warm faded fabric I found…it coordinates so well with all the robin's egg blue trim and has a nice texture to it. I stitched big full gathered sleeves and a slip gathered skirt and then trimmed it in a nicely gathered robin's egg blue ruffle before handstitching the blue tinsel in place. This sweet Christmas chick is holding an aged bottle brush tree that I have painted and adorned with teal/aqua german glitter glass. In her other hand is an old star shaped cookie cutter that I have also trimmed in the same glitter glass! This sweet Christmas Chick is a Prim and Proper Folks original design and will come to you signed and dated.
