Greetings & Welcome to November.
We've had snow here in Vermont a few times already and it has certainly put me in the Holiday spirit.
I have been busily making all sorts of Yuletide creations.
Holiday Stocking
~JOY~
I made this beautiful heather gray stocking from a vintage wool hand knit sweater. I've blanket stitched a cuff around the top made from hand dyed red wool using red cotton floss. I've attached an aged paper tag with a rusty safty pin. The tag reads "JOY". Inside the stocking in a small bunch of dried Sweet Annie. I've given the stocking a bit of weight by adding some walnut shells in the toe. Measures 12" long.

~Early Livestock~
This Early Pig is made from hand dyed and aged vintage linen. He is stuffed with a combination of sawdust and dried Sweet Annie and smells wonderful. Has small black French Knot eyes, waxed ears and a waxed snout. His tail is made from a small sprig of wool and his feet are made from antique nails. On his back he wears a hand dyed wool blanket that has been blanket stitched with black cotton floss. Small rusty bells adorn each side . Around his neck he wears waxed cotton string with two small rusty bells. Comes with an aged and waxed string attached for hanging. Measures 11" long by 9" tall.
