Alice and Her Strange Companions
I have created a few of Alice's unusual companions.
They include: Alice with her kitty, Dinah ~ The Queen of Hearts ~ The White Rabbit ~ and The Doormouse ~

Alice is pictured here with her curious kitty, Dinah. After all, where would the story be without the curious cat? And as
Alice soon found out, curiosity often leads to trouble.

Alice is a nice little sitter. She is made from hand stained muslin, with features that have been drawn on with colored pencils and accented with acrylic paint.
Her dress is embellished with antique lace at neck, sleeves and hem; also on the hem of her pantaloons. She wears a sweet remembrance, with a little
tea pot charm necklace. Her hair is sheep wool which has been stitched and needlefelted. Her stockings and boots are painted on and the boots are embellished with some
teensy black rickrack at their top. Her sitting height is 8 inches. Her full height is 13 inches.
Dinah, her kitty, sits nicely upon Alice's lap. Her woe begone expression has been drawn on with micro pen and accented with acrylic paint.
She wears a little sundresses with matching 'loons. Her arms and legs are bendable. Dinah's diminative size is 9 inches and she sits at 5 inches.

The Queen of Hearts, she made some tarts . . .

This doll has been created from paperclay and fabric. She is considered a make do because her upper torso is joined to a wooden candlestick.
The Queen is quite regal, measuring in at just under 14 inches tall. She wears a vest front and rear that features the Queen of Hearts playing card. Always the Diva,
she dresses the part with her ruffled shoulders and neckline. Her polka dot skirt flows nicely as she stands in what appears to be a precarious position. Not to worry,
Queenie is used to strutting her stuff. She is holding a little cherry tart as a peace offering.
Her red wool roving hair has been sewn and needlefelted. She wears a crown of white lace, which has been pinned into place.

The Doormouse
Twinkle, twinkle little bat! How I wonder what you're at. Up above the world you fly Like a tea tray in the sky.
This little fella has been all hand stitched from faux fur. He sits jauntily in a very vintage sugar bowl with a little top hat on his head. When not in the sugar bowl, he stands
a proud 6 inches! The sugar bowl with it's lid is in excellent condition. Not one chip or ding.

The White Rabbit

This is one of the most famous characters in any novel. See a white rabbit anywhere and you automatically think of Alice in Wonderland. For such a pivotal
character in this great series of stories, he was actually quite a rude little creature! Don't fret. I've created this fellow to always
be kind, soft spoken and on time. He sports his own pocket watch to keep the time.
Stitched entirely by hand, I fashioned the rabbit from an old felted white sweater which was quite sturdy for stitching. He has black
snap closures for his eyes and small pinchez style glasses on the bridge of his nose. He stands quite handily at 9 inches from the soles of
his big feet to the tip of his generous ears. He also wears a top hat, a stiffened color and little tie.
I am offering this grouping as a set. My largest regret is that I did not get to finish the Mad Hatter. I am still working on that rascal. Look for him in the
future!
Alice and her strange companions would make a wonderful addition to your collection of whimsy for:
$225.00 which includes travel fare from my smoke free home to yours.
